Thermocool Plans to Invest ₹40 Crore in a New Facility at Ghaziabad to Strengthen Manufacturing and Expand Product Portfolio

New Delhi, 17 October 2026: Thermocool Home Appliances Ltd, an Indian home appliances brand, is set to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities with a new manufacturing facility at Ghaziabad. The company plans to invest approximately ₹40 crore in the facility as part of its expansion plans and efforts to increase its in-house production capabilities.

The proposed facility will be spread across approximately two acres, with a built-up area of around 40,000–60,000 sq. ft. It is expected to manufacture air coolers, fans and small appliances, with the facility planned to have an annual production capacity of around 3–4 lakh air coolers, 3–5 lakh fans and 1–2 lakh small appliances.

This new establishment will help Thermocool increase its production capacity and strengthen backward integration. The company is also looking to improve its control over production, quality, and supply chain operations as it expands its presence across key markets.

Commenting on the investment, Tushar Gupta, Director of Operations, Thermocool Home Appliances Ltd, said, “The proposed manufacturing facility is an important step in strengthening our production capabilities and supporting our long-term growth plans. We are focusing on greater backward integration and building a manufacturing ecosystem that allows us to respond more efficiently to changing consumer demand. The facility will also support our efforts to expand our product portfolio and strengthen our presence across key markets.”

Thermocool currently operates a manufacturing plant at Ghaziabad with an area of 25,000 sq. ft. and is working to increase its manufacturing capability. Currently, the company is producing around 2,000-3,000 air coolers approx per day, which will soon increase to around 25% -35% more units per day. The expansion will also include semi-automation, AI-based quality control, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

With more than 200 SKUs across big and small appliance categories, air coolers remain a key part of Thermocool's product portfolio. The company has also achieved around 90% backward integration in its air-cooler manufacturing, allowing it to have greater control over the production process.

Tanuj Gupta, Director of Sales, Thermocool Home Appliances Ltd, said, “The home appliances market is evolving rapidly, with consumers looking for products that offer performance, value and reliability. Our manufacturing expansion will help us respond to these changing requirements while strengthening our distribution and market presence. We are also exploring opportunities in new categories as we continue to expand our portfolio.”

Thermocool is expanding its presence across Pan India. The company currently has more than 300 distributors and a presence across approximately 5,000 retail stores, along with growing visibility across e-commerce and digital commerce platforms.

As part of its category expansion plans, Thermocool is also looking to enter the air-conditioner segment and is evaluating opportunities in categories such as washing machines, refrigerators and televisions. The proposed manufacturing facility is expected to support the company's plans to build a wider home appliances portfolio and strengthen its manufacturing presence in India.
